The following is an example packing list for the 10 Day Taste of Colombia Itinerary. While we have attempted to make this match all activities in the itinerary and be a complete list, we can not guarantee that this is the perfect packing list for everyone. Since everyone has different packing preferences, we encourage you to use this as a guide and alter it as you see fit.
- 1 Bogotá Active Exploration Outfit
- This outfit should be appropriate for climbing Monserrate (paved roads but a lot of elevation increases) as well as going to museums.
- Dress in layers appropriate for cool temperatures in the morning, but being warm during the climb.
- 2 Bogotá Traditional Exploration Outfits
- Layering your clothes is your best friend (variable comfort and more outfit combinations).
- Bogotá is metropolitan so dress appropriately for a typical city in the US.
- Due to the elevation, Bogotá is typically on the cooler side so ensure you have a vest, light pullover, or light jacket for layering.
- 1 Bogotá Nightlife Outfit
- Bogotá has a thriving nightlife that most will want to experience.
- Bring an elevated outfit for going out at night. Stay away from flashy and revealing outfits to not stick out. Those that stick out become the targets of pickpockets, thieves, and other low level criminals that target tourists.
- 2 Cartagena Exploration Outfits
- Cartagena is generally pretty hot year-round. Make sure these outfits are lightweight and appropriate for walking around in 80-90°F weather.
- 1 Cartagena Beach Outfit
- The Rosario Islands are a typical beach destination. Pack the swimsuits, cover-ups, and sandals for that day.
- 1 Cartagena Nightlife Outfit
- Cartagena is the location for salsa lessons. Pack some clothes and shoes appropriate for dancing and staying out afterward if you desire.
- 2 Medellín Exploration Outfits
- Medellín is a metropolitan city as well but not as large as Bogotá. Many will dress nicer as is typical of urban areas; however, there will be many dressing more casually in Medellín than in Bogotá.

- This should include long pants and closed-toed shoes appropriate for walking through a coffee farm. Also wear shoes appropriate for uneven ground and climbing over 700 stairs.
